Based in some of the most beautiful country the Eyre Peninsula has to offer, on a combination of the most technical but flowing sections of trail we could find, the Wild Dog mountain bike race in Whyalla, South Australia, is one for your calendar.
You can’t start a race at noon on Friday because folks work… you can’t finish at noon Sunday and expect people to stick around…so we start in the coolest part of the race, ten pm late Friday night and we race through the night, to finish on Saturday at 4pm, plenty of time to hang out, do another ride and celebrate the weekend in Melrose SA.
Adelaide Marathon is South Australia’s premier running event, and runs along all the major scenic locations within the Adelaide CBD.
Coastrek is Australia’s most iconic hiking challenge and our Fleurieu Peninsula location is our friendliest. Chosen for its beauty, historic significance and proximity to world-class wineries, the Fleurieu Peninsula route journey’s along some of the lushest and most striking coastal trails in the world.
An incredibly exciting and spectator friendly ultra marathon, where runners come together every hour on the hour to set off on another lap. And the laps equate to 6.71km.
The Yurrebilla Trail is one of Adelaide’s treasures. The trail winds its way through a series of National Parks and Conservation Reserves under the Mt Lofty summit, as it makes its way across the western face of the Adelaide Hills.
Setting off from the Adelaide CBD, you will trek through suburbia and head into the Adelaide Hills. Along the way you, your team and your Operation Flinders Team Leader will come across surprising Operation Flinders experiences.
During the month of October we’re celebrating walking with #walktoberSA. October is ideal for walking – the temperatures are mild and the evenings are getting longer.

Starting and finishing on the grounds of the beautiful Hardys Tintara Cellar door, the half marathon course takes in the Shiraz Trail between McLaren Vale and Willunga, with a loop along the rail trail between McLaren Vale and Seaford.
The forest and lake course offers three distances for the event so that as many people/competitors can take part independent of their level of fitness.
Heysen 105 is an iconic stable trail event on the Australian calendar and proudly a part of the SA Five 50 with the event finishing for all distances in Victor Harbor at the Heysen Village along the Esplanade.
Run Wild is a 3km and 10km, run, walk or wheelchair challenge, raising money to home three Asian elephants at Monarto Safari Park. Up for a greater challenge? Enter to run the 20km or 42.2km half or full marathon.
‘Victory Harbor’ is GoodRunnings’ annual trail run held in the breathtaking Newland Head Recreation Park. Not for the faint of heart, it’s a challenging, technical trail – with views to reward the brave.
