ROAR is held at Mt Crawford Forest, 8 kilometres southeast of Williamstown which is located 50 kilometres northeast of Adelaide, South Australia’s Capital city.

Located as it is where the forests meet the vines, Williamstown is also the entry point to the South Para Reservoir where adventurers can kayak or canoe South Para waters from established parking and toilet facilities – and to the Warren Reservoir (where the Roar Event will be be based) and where parking and toilet facilities are complemented by a sophisticated kayak/canoe launching point which includes launching facilities for the disabled.

Note that ROAR Barossa offers three distances for the event so that as many people/competitors can take part independent of their level of fitness.

Long distance
7km paddle, 20km ride, 8km run

Medium distance 
3.5 km paddle, 10km ride, 4km run,

Novice distance
1km paddle, 10km ride, 2km run. 

Teams only in long and medium distance.
